As charged particles of the solar wind embark on a journey spanning over a hundred million kilometers, they are guided by magnetic fields, rushing toward Earth’s polar regions to quietly awaken the upper atmosphere. Exciting atmospheric particles, these solar wind particles trigger auroras that resemble a spontaneous light show by Nature, unfolding in enduring arcs and graceful, shifting colors.

In this lecture, we will trace the footsteps of auroras together to appreciate their dazzling beauty and decipher the scientific secrets written across the night sky.
